(Almost) Homemade Pumpkin Ice Cream



My family loves this ice cream! One day I was going to make it from scratch, but just didn't feel like all the work. So I cheated and started with store bought vanilla ice cream and it was delicious!

1  2.5 container of your favorite vanilla ice cream, ours is Breyers All Natural Vanilla,
but some "Whale of a Pail" will work just fine too!
1 cup pure canned pumpkin
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground cloves

Place softened ice cream in your mixer and whip until it's smooth.  Add the remaining ingredients and whip until combined and fluffy.  If you serve it immediately it tastes like custard, or just put it back in the container to freeze.
